Toastmasters at Community Rehab Care
Toastmasters, modeled after the "Toastmasters" public speaking curriculum, is a wellness program at CRC that is focused on helping members improve their communication, with an emphasis on public speaking and presentation skills. This group is led by a licensed Speech Therapist and meets weekly via Zoom and in the clinic.
Who could benefit from Toastmasters?
This group is designed for anyone with a brain injury who is interested in improving their communication skills. Whether your goals are to have better conversations with friends and family, or give a solid presentation at work, Toastmasters is designed to help equip you with specific communication skills that will help you become a more confident, concise, and clear communicator.
How big is the group?
Attendance can vary week to week, but on average we have 6 people attending Toastmasters per session
How much does it cost?
Toastmasters is partially funded by the Statewide Head Injury Program (S.H.I.P) and costs $64 for an 8-week course ($8 per session).
Do I have to wait for a new course to start before joining?
No. You can join Toastmasters at any time, and we will adjust the cost accordingly.
I’m interested in learning more about Toastmasters. What should I do?
Contact the clinic via phone or email and request to observe a session! We can send you a Zoom link that will allow you to attend a session free of charge. Once you’ve tried out a session, you can then decide if you would like to officially join the group.
